So that makes, what, three Stewart Raffill movies on 4K? He’s doing better than some other directors who actually, you know, have talent.

The bad stuff is also taken by the other labels. This is a new dimension.

If you’re talking about Blu-ray.com it’s quite the opposite response to this announcement. Which is not surprising to me

and not even his best ones, Standing Ovation and Passenger 57 (albeit as a writer only on the latter)

Sad that that’s two of the few Studio Canal 60s titles remaining. #JustKLSCThings

It seems that at a recent screening of Miracle Mile, Steve DeJarnatt said that it will be getting a UHD at the end of the year from a label he couldn't announce. I assume it will be a UK label, but since MGM has been known to split rights by format, it could be from someone in the US. (I also assume if it were Kino, he would have said that.)

KLSC has added 23 films to their Universal deal, but they’re mostly more recent movies (though one will be a pre code film)

Odd choice for KLSC as there are no stars and they made a big point of this being the only pre code title they went after in the latest Universal deal. I guess they want to be able to release a “Universal horror movie” not already part of the various franchise collections?

Murder by the Clock is a title I've long been intrigued about, for 30 years in fact, as it was still in my bible A Pictorial History of Horror Movies by Denis Gifford.

It's one of those films that's been tied up in legal problems (like Letty Lynton and It's a Wise Child) for decades and has been heavily requested.

The Second Twin (1966) aka The Other Truth
Starring Michèle Mercier & Robert Hossein
Music by Jacques Loussier (Dark of the Sun)
Shot by Pierre Petit (Birds of Prey)
Based on a Novel by Jean Laborde (The Night Caller)
Directed by Christian-Jaque (The Black Tulip)
This was horrible, with laughable canted angles and swish pans incessantly utilized for no purpose whatsoever. Mercier sports a bad Jean Seberg wig and Hossein some Clark Kent glasses and that’s what passes for characterization. Unbelievably stupid script, especially the dumb “mystery” back half that doesn’t need the provided flashback to explain what happened if you’ve ever seen a movie before. The English title KLSC went with here is a real head scratcher and I can only assume no one involved with that decision actually watched the movie because there is no literal or metaphorical “twin” here. Can these labels please find someone, anyone who knows anything about French movies to recommend them better acquisitions?
