I try to tell my story as simply as possible, with
the camera at eye level. I just imagine the way
the story should be told, and I do it. If it's a
scene that I don't want anybody to monkey with
or cut, I don't give them any way to cut it. If I
think that it's a little too long and the actors are
dawdling and I want to cut some of it out, I
make two angles so that I can cut it. That's
about all I can say about it. I like to tell it with
a simple scene. I don't want you to be conscious
that this is dramatic, because it throws it all off.
