Full disclosure, I have not seen this, but this seems like it might be a bit of an exaggeration considering is is not even "Widely regarded". Is this some detached irony I'm simply not getting? I have to admit I am now intrigued.
Palace Distribution have started releasing more of their current releases onto Blu Ray via Madman. A number of the films have not had English friendly releases anywhere on Blu Ray to date include:
Of the titles that I own (My Brothers Band, The Richest Woman in the World & A Private Life) all have burnt in English subtitles that can not be removed. The subtitles cannot be removed via trying pushing them out of the frame via the remote.

Okay buddy, as the kids like to say. I would not think that getting 25,000 upvotes (I looked it up) on a internet aggregator that got popular 5 years ago makes it possible to make that claim with a straight face, but sure, why not. But I appreciate you hepping me to the dubious honor.

This only got released in theaters here a week ago...or I should say theater, as I only saw one theater (in a chain - Landmark) scheduling it.
It played in Australia at the annual French Film Festival in March/April last year with multiple screenings of every film screening across multiple screens, cinemas, cities and even region areas. I think My Brothers Band was the biggest hit of the 2025 festival, even outperforming The Count of Monte Cristo. It then went on to general release over the following Christmas/New Year period and made continued to bring in the bums on seats.
The Richest Woman in the World, Private Livers, The Strangers & Colours of Time where amongst the biggest hits this year which apparently was the most successful to date (it has been running since the late 1980s).
French cinema is very successful in Australia and we have a lot of French films that get released here that don't get picked up for distribution in the UK and/or US which I find very odd.

Interesting. So that's how you have so many films on your dynamic top ten that I seem to wait & wait to get here, but never arrive. I assumed you went to Cannes every year.
