Not a trailer, but a live-in billboard to advertise The Last House

Just read a description of the premise of the film, which invariably contained a reference to its inspiration - had no idea that the lead male actor in Corsage had been convicted of such an awful crime (NSFW link)

My "last movie" is a Western version of Nicolai Gogol's "Dead Souls". This is a great book, full of irony, mystery and meaning. I plan to shoot in two locations – Almería, Spain, and Tucson, Arizona.
[…] In some ways my last movie is a classic European or “Spaghetti” Western. But it’s other things too. It’s a celebration of the tenacity of its protagonist, of Gogol's novel, and of the fantastic landscapes of Tucson and Tabernas… As with some of my other films, there is both humour and politics. Plus weirdness.
[…] So please, if you enjoyed "Repo Man" or "Straight to Hell" or "Walker", consider backing a "last movie" in the same vein. Cheers!
Trailer.
This will open this weekend at Roxy Cinema in NYC and he's scheduled for one Q&A.

I really hope Miles Teller plays Neil McCauley in Heat 2, feels like this banks on why. I saw a clip of him on SNL a few years ago and he was a stunningly close image of a version of De Niro from 1988 that is that character.

Trailer.
Finally saw this and dug it. The original $75,000 Kickstarter goal was very modest so even though they overshot it a couple of times over, enough to cover nearly every expense, it was still a shoestring budget that came in under $250,000. Still impressive considering it was shot with a full crew on two different continents, but when it came to hair and makeup, you can see the limitations. I also wish some of the cast was a little better, maybe a few more character actors on the level of Harry Dean Stanton in terms of how they look and act on camera. But once I got past that, I thoroughly enjoyed it, every bit as bold and anarchic as anything else Cox has done. Probably surpasses The Samurai and the Prisoner as my favorite narrative film this summer. (My favorites so far this year have mostly been low-budget films including three non-fiction films, one of which was an experimental film shot with a two-person crew driving across the country, a narrative film shot with an antiquated phone, and now this one.)

Aaron Sorkin's The Social Reckoning. Are there no good actors that have at least a faint resemblance to Mark Zuckerberg?

If Eisenberg wasn't gonna come back (and the two have only gotten more dissimilar in appearance as time has passed), I'm not sure who might have been a better fit. I can sorta see a Drew Starkey-type working, but I think they did about as well as they could have with Jeremy Strong. Surely the movie's other problems will lie elsewhere

Netflix is bringing us the Unabomber.

Can a dramatic series on the Luddites be next?

It was in Austin Powers, so I don’t think it ever really disappeared with the rest of the “alternative” rock radio format. God, they’re still using the spooky remix concept on these trailers, how original.

Snyder really needs to work with Larry Fong again as his DP. This recent extreme shallow focus obsession is amateur hour.
