That's nice. I feared this company would offer only the scrubbed, non-filmic versions for streaming (children are watching, after all). BTW, have the 4k versions of Cinderella and Snow White appeared on Disney+?EddieLarkin wrote: Mon May 11, 2026 3:02 pm Correct, the new restorations of Snow White and Cinderella are nothing like the old Blu-rays, which were terrible in retrospect. They also did wonderful new versions of The Black Cauldron and The Sword in the Stone, though these have so far remained exclusive to Disney+.
So Alice makes 5, and that one does at least have the mono retained.

Barbarian is finally coming to physical media. Disney will release it themselves.

Listings for 4K upgrades of Commando, Con Air, The Rock, Strange Days, National Treasures and Dead Poets Society were found at a French retailer.

Dead Poets Society and Mrs Doubtfire getting UHD releases with a street date of Sept 29th.

The Digital Bits wrote:both Mrs. Doubtfire and Dead Poets Society will include Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio, as well as (it appears) all of the legacy special features on the Blu-rays in each package.

I really hope they start digging into the 80’s/90’s Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures well. That would be incredible

Would also love to see stuff like Working Girl, Wall Street, Big, Ed Wood, Home Alone 2, Die Hard 2-3, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and L.A. Confidential.

Stakeout, Ruthless People, and Blood In, Blood Out (which has an HD master on Hulu) are big Disney ones.James Stock wrote: Fri Aug 21, 2026 12:45 am Would also love to see stuff like Working Girl, Wall Street, Big, Ed Wood, Home Alone 2, Die Hard 2-3, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and L.A. They weren’t Touchstone, but I do hope this leaves the door open for Never Cry Wolf and Something Wicked This Way Comes

Though I'm only really interested in Ruthless People it's still wild those three have never received anything better than non-anamorphic DVDs. Even Another Stakeout got a Blu-ray.beamish14 wrote: Stakeout, Ruthless People, and Blood In, Blood Out (which has an HD master on Hulu) are big Disney ones.

I could do with a nice upgrade of Tin Men. All of Levinson’s Baltimore pictures, in fact.

Ruthless People is one of the best mainstream comedies of the post studio era, it’s insane how disrespectfully it’s been treated. All of DeVito’s new fans from It’s Always Sunny would love it and it’d sell just fine, who makes business decisions at these companies ffs

Kino tried to get Ruthless People, Stakeout and What About Bob when they had their brief Disney deal but the Mouse wouldn't license those out
