Which reminds me that Jon Hamm’s lead character wears the Criterion cap in a couple episodes of Apple TV’s Your Friends and Neighbors. The character is a big film noir and classic Hollywood film fan who is seen watching something Criterion-related or Criterion-adjacent on his large screen TV in virtually every episode. However, the show’s plotting results in every movie being interrupted by a crisis so the poor guy can never watch a film in one go!
