Controversial 90’s comedy/drama-hoping for Kissed (1996). An MGM title, and it’s been discussed in one of their Art House zines

Yep. Drastically cut down by said studio and its producer as well

Unless they add in a whole lot more Meg Tilly I don’t think it’s gonna help

Body Snatchers has some of my favorite cinematography ever and I thought that even seeing it first on the drastically undersaturated Warner Archive Blu-Ray, a good restoration would be major.

It has such a strange, albeit fairly effective and almost elliptical ending. I know its editor has said that the released version feels like a trailer for what was really intended.

It’s a wonderful work. The practical effects are on par with The Thing and The Blob (1988), with the bathroom/ceiling collapse being just amazing

One of my favorite moments in '90s cinema is her saying "Where you gonna go? Where you gonna run? Where you gonna hide? Nowhere. 'Cause there's no one... like you... left." It's as chilling to me as the part where Donald Sutherland points and screams in the 1978 version. The movie is uneven, especially the military parts, but when it's working, it's great.

Honestly, I can't even remember what their sub-labels are anymore. VSA, VSU, VSP, VSL? 😵‍💫 (Don't bother explaining, I don't care.)

It doesn't really matter, they are all just ways to keep releases from being part of the subscription package.

Is it normal for VS to not ship for almost four weeks? I placed my order on the first and haven’t heard anything still, and it looks like plenty of people have gotten the partner releases shipped/delivered with no problem in the interim. You’d think placing a large order early on would give you some degree of priority but I guess not

I placed a very large order on day one of the sale and it just shipped yesterday. This has happened in the past for me with them.
