I wouldn't be surprised if the US release gets cancelled. Discotek's Sex and Fury release is barely two years old and I have to imagine at least that license is still active.dwk wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 2:28 pm Sex and Fury & Female Yakuza Tale double feature Blu-ray (guess the Diacotek releases are going OOP)

I also would expect it to get scrapped, but some other Discotek Toei licensed live action titles went OOP after 2 or 3years (Shogun's Samurai, Golgo 13, and Bullet Train.)ChunkyLover wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 4:06 pmI wouldn't be surprised if the US release gets cancelled. And it appears that the US listing for the Sex & Fury/Female Yakuza Tale double has been deleted from Arrow's website.

We don't have an "Arrow on Social Media" thread at the moment, but here's Reece Shearsmith in the Arrow store.

Apparently you now don't even get notifications from Arrow's site anymore that your Paypal or credit card transaction needs to be re-done. Fat Phil and another BR member mentioned that they happened to check their order status and saw that there was an issue with the payment. If they hadn't checked, their orders would have just sat there with no movement.

Re: Arrow Announcements, Speculation & Wild, Irresponsible Conjecture
Cliff MacMillan is involved in a new label called Toy Robot Video. He didn't answer if this is in addition to his job with Arrow or if he has left Arrow.
The new company is releasing in both North America and the UK. The initial slate is:
Masters of the Universe (1987) 4K UHD (includes a new extended cut) (this is a North American exclusive, the rest of the slate will be released in both NA and UK.)
Guyver: Dark Hero (1994) Blu-ray
Roaring Fire (1981) Blu-ray
Ninja Wars (1982) Blu-ray
Marshalmallow (2025)

Cliff still works for Arrow, yes - I can’t really say more because I’m not involved with it so not in a position to do so, but I’m sure more information about Toy Robot and its relationship to Arrow is coming very soon.

Thanks James. Curious if this is going to be a partner label situation (ala Vinegar Syndrome and their thirty partner labels) or a sublabel situation (like Vinegar Syndrome and their many sublabels) or something else.

Hoping for the A Better Tomorrow trilogy to be among the announcements.
First thought was Misery but that's an achilles heel, so probably Troy from WB.

Got to be France’s Ankle Bone, Persia’s Hell Under My Feet, Almodovar’s High Heels or To’s Justice my Foot!

Fingers crossed, and if not yet then I'd be happy with either Prison on Fire 1&2 or Full Contact too. We're definitely getting at least one Golden Princess title as Terracotta alluded to it in their newsletter earlier today.Finch wrote: Wed May 27, 2026 3:54 pmHoping for the A Better Tomorrow trilogy to be among the announcements.

Re: Arrow Announcements, Speculation & Wild, Irresponsible Conjecture
August US titles
Troy UHD (with separate Blu-ray releaer)
Identity UHD
Ju-on The Grudge UHD
The People vs Larry Flynt UHD
Shogun's Ninja Blu-ray
The UK slate for August
Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey UHD
Troy UHD / BD
Killer Party BD
Stephane BD
Once a Thief UHD / BD
I think at this point it is safe to say the Sony deal is US only.

August being the Wal Mart bargain bin dad month makes sense.

Not interested in Once A Thief so even the Hongkong title is a bust. Terrible summer for all the labels.

From the new deal, Blue Thunder is the only other one I can think of, besdies today's two announced titles (People v Larry Flynt and Identity.)

Here's hoping they get hold of Das Boot now that they seem to be on a Petersen streak.

Re: Arrow Announcements, Speculation & Wild, Irresponsible Conjecture
Identity a nice surprise, but I reckon the bonus disc on Larry Flynt will be locked to Region A (same issue I had with Barbarella, Hugo etc).
Not a great month, Once a Thief not my most anticipated Woo title but I will get it at some point soon either way. Troy looks like a solid release too, will definitely get in a sale, but no pre-orders this month (ditto Eureka, Criterion etc). Therefore Radiance will yet again get most of my money for August! Good thing I just sold my copy of The Hot Spot so I can upgrade it to 4K...
