Nick Newman interview with Korine, in which he reveals that long-time gestating project The Trap is being made as an anime (still set in Miami) by a Tokyo production studio, and his next film is likely to be Twinkle Twinkle, which is an animated feature being produced entirely in a gaming engine.

Harmony Korine wrote:Well, it’s the best script that I’ve ever written, without question. ... That is the most perfect script that I’ve written; the best writing, the most I’ve put into just a pure piece of screenplay.

Harmony Korine Has Something to Say
Is there anything you haven’t done in a while that you’d like to?

I feel like making a movie again. There’s a lot of stuff in the works with animation and gaming engines but it’s been almost a decade since I made a film, something scripted. There’s sometimes images you can’t get out any other way.

Do you want to make it in Miami?

My family is here, but I also like the idea of going somewhere else, like the Caribbean.

I'm trying to imagine now what a Harmony Korine film about Jimmy "Barbecue" Chérizier of Haiti would be like.

It's a doc, but Ghosts of Cité Soleil might give you an idea, and I doubt Harm could bring much more to it.
