Oh good! Thanks for confirming they work I added notifications with the site update, and they should work on desktop and phone layouts for the site and forum. Won't work on Tapatalk, though. They'll pop up for stuff like that (photos) and also if maintenance is being performed, the latter more as a warning.

Love the disc design for Man Who Wasn’t There.

I have to assume placing the hole of the disc over his face was intentional (so that he's "not there"), and I like it.

Sentimental Value is a handsome movie, so why is every poster (and now cover) I've seen for it either horrible or nondescript? (I wonder if the idea for it is going to be that Lilleaas and Fanning will have little rectangles on the back - not that that would help matters)

Not being a fan of the movie myself, I think the awful artwork is perfect and captures the film superbly.

Woof on that Sentimental Value composition. I'll wait for the UK edition, and hope they conservatively use the still from the French edition. I'm generally for artistic risks on Criterion covers, but the artistic risk here seems to be "deliberately bad". Querelle was exciting; The Worst Person in the World also inspired a similar aversion within myself to purchasing it. Obviously, and perhaps appropriately, these risks seem to go either way. MUBI bundled Worst Person with the other two films in Trier's Norway trilogy, but I'm not certain the UK edition will bail me out like that this go-round.

The inset pics of the characters is aligned both directly with the border and yet not centered or placed to align with the text, which overlaps for no reason. Big 2002 CD art vibes here

I haven’t seen the movie, so I just figured Stellan’s bald spot features prominently in the narrative.

Couldn't agree more. Lotta whiners on Twitter and elsewhere. It's perfectly fine and fits the tone of the film, which is clearly going for that Royal Tenenbaums warm honey/acid mix. Wasn't my favorite thing last year by a considerable margin, but were I a bigger fan of it, would have no issue picking this up based upon the cover.

BTW, not sure if mentioned above, but it's confirmed to be a digipack. The 'rule of Mishima' (add this to our bylaws please) states that these often end up being a lot more interesting in person than they are upon initial announcement.

Being a digipack and being Chris ware you can almost guarantee the art will wrap around to the back to feature the second half of the house and two more heads
