Huge. Kino released the two Fu Manchu films starring Warner Oland on Blu-ray a couple of years back. This, although unrelated to those two films story-wise, yet again has Oland reprise his role as Fu Manchu, but more importantly stars Anna May Wong in the lead role. It would be nice if this got a disc from Kino too.

This is currently making the U.S. theatrical rounds through Janus. I saw it last week and thought it looked very good.

Now this will be interesting ...we've been talking about the correct workflow for transfers. I can't guess what they're going to do with this besides maybe get rid of some scratches and adjust the contrast or something. I guess Slacker has a brief pixelvision section, but I don't remember.

Autumn Leaves is also on the program but I don't see any notes on a new restoration, just that it's a DCP from Sony, whereas Rain is listed as the 4k restoration done by VCI. I'd love to get a blu of this so I can retire my TMC dvd box, I've been wondering if music rights might be holding up an upgrade, but maybe Indicator was just waiting for the restoration to be completed and therefore didn't release it with Harriett Craig and Queen Bee.

It seems to be that print. Jon Davison has been paying for all those new prints of Corman and Corman produced films that have been playing Los Angeles the last few years and they all look excellent.

The digital restoration was funded by the FFE Film Legacy Subsidy Programme.

The world premiere of the 4K digitally restored version of Geheimnisse einer Seele (Secrets of a Soul) is a cooperative venture between the Berlin International Film Festival, the Deutsche Kinemathek, the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Stiftung, and public broadcasters ZDF/ARTE. The film’s television premiere will be on ARTE in May, 2026."
