The Indiegogo page has been updated and it's been revealed that All Ladies Do It and Frivolous Lola are being planned for UHD releases.

The film was really disappointing (the Spanish Blu Ray has English subtitles).

Tra(sgri)dire / Cheeky - UHD - Beaver

I’m amazed by how tasteful Gary’s NSFW stills are for this at times hilariously graphic film (Brass sure loves zooming in to a particular place!). It looks beautiful to my eye going by the caps and it’s noticeably less cropped than their old Blu. Not sure how that one compared to the Arrow I have.

I really love this film; it’s airy, light, has a great opening sequence and could only be made by Tinto Brass. And Yuliya shines, her smile lights up the world around her.

I'm very tempted to get this; my wife is a genuine and unashamed fan of Tinto Brass, to whose work she was first introduced not long after we first met when she came round to my flat some 23 years ago and saw a review copy of Frivolous Lola lying around. She spotted that Patrick Mower off Emmerdale was in it and was intrigued, and she absolutely loved it.

As she pointed out, it's a sex comedy that's both intentionally funny and genuinely sexy, and since we come from a culture that usually dismally fails to tick either box when it comes to that particular genre, it was a particularly refreshing surprise.

As for Cheeky!, only last Thursday I PMed her the cover, captioned "Now THIS is a cover. (Nothing to do with me, btw.)"

I couldn’t agree more with you and your wife Michael! If you guys haven’t seen Cheeky but if your wife loves his other work then this is a must see.

Frivolous Lola is great fun as well (and Brass makes another cameo, this time as a conductor) and contains for my money one of the greatest scenes in sex cinema; the incredibly weird and artificial naval themed flashback of Lola spying on her father ‘making love’ to her mother while his suave and creepy friend eggs him and an amazing sax solo soars out of the speakers. Brilliant!

I've seen Cheeky. In fact, my QC report for Arrow a decade or so ago included a detailed breakdown of the exact differences between it and their earlier censored release, which I'm putting in spoiler tags to protect the eyes of those less worldly than ourselves:
Spoiler
11:29-11:31 - this shot is extended by a couple of seconds at the start to reveal Carla’s finger slipping between her labia.
15:42-15:43 - this side shot of Moira going down on Carla while stimulating her nipples goes on for another second...
15:43-15:45 - as does start of the following shot, from the other side.
16:09-16:12 - this shot of Moira kissing Carla’s belly below her navel has been extended by three seconds at the start
[NB: It’s hard to see why the last three shots were shortened on the old DVD, as they don’t reveal any more than is already amply visible]
20:37-20:39 - close-up of Carla unbuttoning Matteo’s trousers, taking out his erection and aiming it between her legs.
28:31-28:35 - this shot of Carla being massaged is extended to include a slow zoom towards her clearly visible anus and vagina
29:26-29:30 - big close-up of Carla’s anus and vagina as they react to her thighs being vigorously massaged, culminating in her visibly leaking juices.
42:29-42:39 - what appears to be two separate shots in the shorter version is in fact one long shot, the middle of which (a pan revealing a man’s erect penis rubbing up against a woman’s buttocks) was previously removed.
45:19-45:23 - close-up of vaginal penetration by finger (clearly unsimulated).
46:37-46:38 - big close-up of Mario’s erection as he removes it from his trousers.
47:26-47:27 - low-angle shot of a party guest being orally pleasured, her thighs splayed wide.
47:31-47:33 - more of the above.
47:57-48:00 - big close-up of a party guest’s erection being tightly gripped by a hand.
1:06:11-1:06:13 - Carla removes Matteo’s erection from his jeans.
1:06:59-1:07:04 - big close-up of Carla’s buttocks being massaged by Bernard, occasionally spreading them to reveal her anus.
1:07:33-1:07:34 - the pan down Bernard’s body in the shorter version continues here to reveal his erection.
1:08:04-1:08:06 - this close-up of Carla’s buttocks with Bernard’s face buried deep between them goes on for longer.
1:12:42-1:12:45 - the scene of the man in the alleyway unzipping his fly in silhouette continues to reveal him producing his erection, followed by a non-silhouetted close-up of the same organ.
1:19:05-1:19:06 - close-up of Matteo’s erection being readied for action.

Forgive me, I misread your earlier message.

And after reading your Spoiler; who could ever argue that Brass didn’t make high art?!

CE are going to release His Motorbike, Her Island on August 12. Perhaps the first of several Obayashi releases? Third Window discs are often plagued by poor encodes; are Cult Epic better on that front?

Excellent news! A good set of extras on it too. I have the Third Window release but this looks good too. Have the transfers on the Cult Epics' Obayashis been improvements?

I've heard that the subtitles for the previous releases were very poor.

His Motorbike Her Island's releases are pick your poison. TWF has a dreadful encode but the subs on the Cult Epic are sloppy. I don't recall such issues on CE's School in the Crosshairs however.

If they include the original cut, you'll get one EXTRA moment of animal cruely.
