FYI Kino has another sale on its website. Some new UHDs discounted agressively Danger Diabolik & Little Buddha 17.99, while titles that were that low in previous sale are more (Alphaville & Ladykillers 26.57, Last Year At Marienbad & Nostalghia & Caligari 31.99).

They’re “more” because these titles are not a part of the fall sale.

Actually they are in the list of sale items, retail for most of the UHDs is 44.99.

They are not at all on their sale-dedicated pages:

retail for most of the UHDs is 44.99.
I understand that, but Kino direct already has a slight "discount" on the price when you order direct.

As mentioned in the Film Preserve thread (where it's posted that Brenon's adaptation of Beau Geste is getting reissued), I picked this up for $10 from Kino's fall sale, and indeed it's a great film, one of the best family films I've ever seen. The play was a big hit at the time and the film did just as well at the box office, so much that it's really astonishing the film would be considered "lost" by 1950. It basically returned to circulation thanks to (speak of the devil!) James Card who followed a tip that led him to a cinephile's prized collection of 35mm prints, one of which was Peter Pan. The print and the transfer look superb, as do both the production and cinematography. (The notes mention that Howe's biographer considered his work on this film to be very uneven, but honestly, the best moments are so wonderful to look at that it's likely the ordinary ones won't linger in memory.) It's been ages since I've seen any Peter Pan staging or adaptation, and the Disney film wasn't exactly a favorite when I was a kid, but I found this one immensely charming from the get-go - right in the very first shot when they introduce the "dog" - and all the way to final title card. The practical and in-camera effects are loads of fun, and the traditional casting of a female as Peter Pan does open the film up to other ideas - not necessarily ones I'd impose on the production itself, but it's interesting to pit the practical purposes of casting against the conservative norms of the day (or I guess today, depending on what part of the population you're referring to).

Learned from the Blu-ray.com review that KLSC messed up the pitch on another title, Leconte’s 1 chance sur 2 / Half a Chance, but did actually repress it correctly

I haven't seen it, but the first thing that struck me was why would a film with Ronald Neame directing have a co-director?
Then I found out that Cliff Owen was the original director and was fired before being replaced by Neame (but Neame
insisted on retaining his (Owen's) screen credit).

Kevin Spacey (The Usual Suspects) and Jeff Bridges (Blown Away) star in this spellbinding, often humorous story of a mysterious stranger who defies convention, puzzles the experts and leaves everyone searching for the truth. A stranger who calls himself Prot (Spacey) seemingly appears out of nowhere following a disturbance at New York’s Grand Central Station. Claiming to come from the distant planet K-PAX, Prot draws the attention of jaded Dr. Powell (Bridges), whose initial skepticism soon turns to fascination and amazement. Even a team of leading scientists are at a loss to explain Prot’s detailed knowledge of the star system he calls home. But with Prot’s return to K-PAX fast approaching, the search for the answers intensifies and the mystery takes on pulse-quickening proportions. Based on the novel by Gene Brewer, this captivating sci-fi tale was directed by Iain Softley (Hackers) and features an early role for Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad).
