It's worth noting that Le bleu des origines appears in a new, much shorter cut by Garrel.

"Le Bleu des origines" included in the Coffret Nico is based on an edit made by Yann Dedet and Philippe Garrel in 2024, which differs from the original version presented in 1977. Philippe Garrel wanted to create a short 12‑minute version, made possible thanks to a new scan of the negative. You can view the 35mm print of the 1977 version at the Cinémathèque française. No 16mm print is available.

Bit of a hiccup: I can add the new Nico set and a few other more recent releases to my cart with the UPS shipping option, but if I add most older catalog titles the option goes away and I see a message saying "Unfortunately, there are no carriers available for your delivery address." I wonder if they're trying to prevent orders that are too large, like the one I'm trying to make! I also haven't heard back from anyone at Re:voir, and I've tried emailing from two separate accounts.

EDIT: I finally heard back from someone. They said there have been some bugs with the website but hopefully they can be sorted out

OK, I've heard from everyone that's posted in this thread and I should be good to place the order tomorrow. (I'll give any stragglers the rest of the day to submit an order.) Shipping cost is an unknown at this point but it's not going to be cheap. I think it may amount to something like $7.50 USD per item, and that's not counting any potential tariff impact (though for purposes of comparison, if you just ordered one item by yourself, Re:voir's shipping charge would be more than $40). I'll send everyone a PM with a preliminary payment you can make to me. I'll follow up later when I have more precise information about shipping, and if I happen to have overcharged anyone, I'll return those funds. If anyone thinks this is getting too costly and wants to back out, I understand. Please just let me know that today as well so I can reflect that in the final order

I got mine today. It's a typically nice physical object from Re:Voir. Triple fold-out with a big bilingual booklet in a slipcase. Like the 1968 set, which I also got today, it's a box set on a single disc, so there's no room for on-screen non-film extras (total running time is about 250 minutes).

I thought I might do my own Garrel retrospective, since so much is now available, but I think there is more to come, as Re: Voir also have his first film Les Enfants desaccordes:

It looks like I could do a Zanzibar Films retrospective too, since Re:Voir has now released all of those films except for two: A quoi reve le foetus? (Jacques Fournier, 1969) and Sylvina Boissonnas' own Un Film (1970). I assume La Cicatrice interieure should be included in the count, as the last of Garrel's films produced by Boissonnas, even though it was released a couple of years later, so that makes fourteen features and shorts Re:Voir has put out.

Uncertain, but unavailable anyway:
Piege (Jacques Baratier, 1970) - Produced by Boissonnas, and sounds anarchic and of an awkward length (very Zanzibar!), but Baratier was a (much) older, established director.
A l'intention de Mlle. Issoufou a Blima (Caroline de Bendem, 1971) - de Bendem was a member of the group, appearing in all of Serge Bard's completed films. I haven't found any positive association between this film and Zanzibar, but it's a documentary filmed in Africa, so I wonder if it was shot during the ill-fated Au-dela expedition?

In case anyone's curious, the added UPS shipping cost from France to the States for the Garrel/Nico box was 20 euros. It looked like my package took a few day to clear customs but is now expected to arrive here on Wednesday.

Group Buy Update: The shipment has been sitting in customs in KY since Saturday. It originally had an "estimated delivery" of yesterday, then today, now tomorrow, but none of those dates make sense to me until the package actually clears customs. I just got off the phone with someone at UPS (after a 90 minute hold) who wasn't really able to tell me anything more than that. I suppose none of this is surprising given the situation at the moment. I'll post another update here when I know more

Well, I got other stuff done while I was on hold. I might mention that I initially just called UPS's normal line and was able to speak to someone right away. But then once we established that I was asking about an international shipment, they gave me another number. The international number initially promised a hold time of around 80 minutes, and it ended up being a little longer than that. I can only imagine the volume of calls they must be dealing with
