• A reprint of the script
Are they sure this is a positive selling point?
Interested customers may also want to know that judging from the cover on the exploded packshot, it isn’t even the script, but rather the dialogue list written up after the film was finished…

Hopefully Under the Volcano will be struck from a newer restoration. Also, I can finally retire my
DVD of The Dead.

I'm doing a commentary for an upcoming Imprint release (not my first for the director concerned, and firmly in my wheelhouse), but it doesn't fit any of those one-line descriptions.

Glad I never bought Criterion’s Wise Blood despite enjoying it a lot.

There was an hour long making-of documentary on The Dead, and I’m a bit disappointed that it isn’t there

Very excited about The Quiet American, one of Michael Caine's best. I saw it theatrically when it came out and remember being blown away by the gorgeous Christopher Doyle's cinematography, which none of the subsequent home video releases did justice to. Fingers crossed this edition will use a new scan. This film could really shine in 4K.
Lulu on the Bridge and K-Pax are great news too, if Imprint was able to secure good scans.

This is great news, Michael! I was staying away from ordering Imprint editions lately due to the prohibitive cost to the US and their generally underwhelming PQ, but this may tilt the scales in favor of buying some titles from this new batch.

I checked the specs again and it makes no mention of a new scan, not even in 2K. I'm interested in the film too, but this is going to be an old master unless they provide an update to say otherwise.

Hud uses the same awful, likely uprez source as the German blu, glad I held off until I saw a review. It’s literally no better than the DVD.

I'm not sure any other label has a disparity between the quality of their Bluray transfers and their 4K ones quite like Imprint do. it's amazing to see sometimes

I can't believe there isn't a 4K restoration of this yet. I was under the impression it was a valuable film in Paramount's library, not just for Newman but for its Oscar-winning cinematography which gives more reason to keep any copies in circulation (for theatrical or home viewing) looking as good as possible.

Rumors that Criterion had HUD have been around for a decade, which is why I have held off upgrading. I think it's a certainty at this point that if/when they get around to releasing it it will be UHD. A twofer with a Long Hot Summer UHD would make my day.

What's next? Rosemary's Baby UHD packed in a baby stroller? Christine disc wrapped in a life-sized Plymouth Fury?

Looks like it includes the Criterion laserdisc commentary for the first film. Which I'm assuming Imprint is using without permission.
