These were with Sony previously, so I wonder if their rights to the Heisei-era films have lapsed as well.

Sony's rights to Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991) and Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992) expired in 2019 and their rights to Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II(1993), Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla (1994), and Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995) expire(d) this year.

I would think the Wender's will be a Criterion (not a Janus Contemporaries) release due to the 3D and 6k resolution. Has there been a UHD of a 3D releases of any kind?

Is 3D compatible with the UHD spec? I think the closest we've gotten are dual 2D UHD/3D Blu-ray packages like for Alita: Battle Angel and Hugo

According to the listing for the retrospective being held at Lincoln Center, Janus have picked up Edward Yang's A Confucian Confusion and Mahjong!!!! I was hoping they would have also picked up Terrorizers but this is still very exciting!

It's great news that they've got Mahjong and A Confucian Confusion. I wonder what the deal is with rights to The Terrorizers as it seems unlikely that they'd pass over it.
