I may make some last minute changes, but mostly because I'm wavering on how much people want to reward Elvis and All Quiet on the Western Front. It seems like wherever the chips fall on those might decide the winning ballot

Can't; unless you have the live TV pack (I'm assuming you're American)

I truly applaud the one or two people in the front rows who clearly have KN95s on.

Damn, only four slap jokes, and only one that went one forever? Kimmel showed some restraint

I’m not convinced that the Rock can hold a pencil, so having him present the Best Animated Feature award is perfect

That was the worst opening Oscars monologue that I can remember. Did Kimmel just write that 5 minutes before he went on? It was embarrassing to watch.

Of course the one year Disney doesn’t win is when they come out with my favorite film for the year.

Ke Huy Quan's speech is an all-timer; genuinely happy to see him win, even if there was little surprise

Of course the worst performance wins in a category full of worthy women. Glad I’m not on social media for the Nepo Baby boomerang backlash

The phantom Diane Warren joint suddenly appears! It's never-ending and painfully tedious!

I thought Curtis's performance had a lot of humor and the Academy doesn't usually go for sillier stuff. So I don't mind it.

This song is the worst song I've ever heard, though. Even by Warren standards, it's a lot.

If you’re gonna give an “owed” Oscar, go with Bassett. But whatever, I agree that more of those kinds of perfs should be nominated in general

I didn't see Wakanda Forever and for all I know Bassett is amazing in it, but just the clip of her in her Marvel costume was enough to make me relieved she didn't win.

And yes, I'm perfectly well aware that I'm complaining about an Academy bias while simultaneously expressing one of my own. I'm a hypocrite!
