Commentary on Breaking In is pretty packed. Here's a summary taken from this site:

"Beginning with effusive praise for Forsyth and Sayles, [Daniel] Kremer does a great job of getting the duo to really speak to the film and its creation. Some of the details include the development of the script which began as a short story, a late-night call from Harry Dean Stanton, how Forsyth came onto the project, the casting of Burt Reynolds, working with producer Harry Gittes, a great discussion about John Mahoney (who was one of Forsyth’s choices), Reynold’s getting paid scale (SAG minimum) because he loved the script and role, Sayles inspiration for some of the details of the crimes from Evil Kenevil, Sayles reaction to the final film, the music of the film, working with Burt Reynolds in a role that belied his work in the 80s, the schedule, the ins and outs of directing actors, the casting of Casey Siemaszko, the troubles editing of the film, working with Normal Lear during post-production, the treatment of European directors by Hollywood, a few interesting tidbits about Forsyth’s Gregory’s Girl and the redubbing of the film for American release, Reynold’s acting at the time, Sayles never meeting Reynolds, deleted scenes, home video releases trimmed and extended versions, Sayles account of seeing the alternate opening for Sunset Blvd, the research done by Sayles on Safe Cracking, the differences between UK and American crews, and much more."

Sayles and Forsyth are both always worth listening to on commentaries. Kino Lorber Insider mentioned that they tried to get Sayles to do one or an on-camera interview for John Frankenheimer’s The Challenge, but he declined

the golden question is whether the film is anything more than a curiosity. interesting lead pairing, and I've never seen Cardiff direct, but...doesn't seem well received

Girl on a Motorcycle has some interesting cinematography (as one would expect from Cardiff), but
the script is poor and Delon is miscast (and looks pretty miserable throughout).

Girl on a Motorcycle is a well-made film. Maybe not a classic, but I think it’s aged better than some other mod fair from the time like Michael Winner’s I'll Never Forget What's'isname. I Faithfull is an underrated actress, and I’m very fond of her turn as Ophelia in Tony Richardson’s perpetually underrated Hamlet (1969)

The majority of that other forum reaches orgasm for just about every release by Kino. For me many of their announcements leave me cold. I think many of their deals with the studios are for very average films.
It's apparent to me that Kino staff have no real idea of the value/quality of much of what they release, especially if its falls out of their wheelhouse of films starring Charles Bronson. They give this a standalone release (presumably because they think they can market Clouzot?) but bury the two legit good Molinero noirs in a "We don't know what to do with these" French noir box? I don't mind films being put into a box, that's not my objection, just that it's hilarious that anyone would think the masses, especially the masses KLSC caters to, want to see Raimu drag us through one of the dumbest courtroom dramas ever made versus those movies, which any noir fan is going to love
Update: Just realized Cop Out, which I haven’t seen yet (and which I now dread watching as it lies in my unwatched pile) but KLSC put out already, is a remake of this. So that’s probably why they’re releasing it solo, though I hope this is sunk cost fallacy and not evidence that someone over there actually likes the Raimu movie… is Cop Out really a big seller for them?

I asked them on Twitter and they replied (on their usual snarky tone) that it's a totally brand new 4k master and not just the SC one which would have been "new to the US".

Wonderful! I actually caught MoMA's screening earlier this year (from a 35mm print that was in very good shape), and the Blu-ray seems to do it justice from what I can remember. It's really good, highly recommended to James Whale fans.
