Cool, we might have enough between the three of us! I actually don't mind if Glowingrabbit wants to place the order. I'm still in the NY area but it may be kind of a hike from where I am now. My current work is going remote through the summer, so I may not be heading into the city very much, at least for a little while.

While we are on the topic of group buys to save on shipping. I’ll be placing an order in Canada so if anyone in the GTA is interested, I work in Scarborough and commute east of the city, so I’m open to arranging meet-ups.

What's the expected cut-off release for this sale?

I want to say September and after isn't included. I don't remember the release schedule though.

Also I believe VAT brings down LE's on sale to £8.33. In my records I have a Hammer box marked down to £23.33 after VAT (so maybe 26-27 for the Noir sets since they cost more).

Oh damn you're right. Although if I'm doing a group buy I'm getting the Noir #4 anyway as I'm running out of stuff I want from them.

Honestly, my interest in their release slates has taken such a drastic plummet over the last year (the last exciting announcement was the one with Twentieth Century) where that's just about all I want, along with Hammer vol 6 I suppose

You're in MA too. You should definitely join the group buy.

I'm probably down- definitely curious to how it breaks down pricewise against, say, Amazon. I imagine it's cheaper

In this group buy, does one person purchase everything and then walk everyone's orders to them? Doesn't shipping cost the same wherever you live in the U.S.?

Shipping rates are usually lower the less distance it has to travel. It also depends how people want me to ship stuff. But as long as it's US it doesn't really matter. However If anyone is in the Boston area then yes I'm fine bringing it to them myself if they want (an excuse to visit the city is something I could use).

Ahem, there's a pretty good reason to visit next month, unless the anti-NEON stronghold carries on! (I'll be there for round two, though not sure when just yet)

Haha no it's probably been long enough. Thanks for posting that as I haven't been paying attention to their schedule.

Have you seen The People Next Door, which was David Greene's follow-up to I Start Counting?

Three people paying 20 pounds each for shipping is definitely > than it would cost me shipping 3-5 blu-rays via media mail in the US.

No, but I will get right on that! Is it of a similar caliber?

But I mean, is there any reason that someone who lives on the West Coast couldn't participate in the group buy?

The last time they had a March sale I know September was definitely out. I just can't remember if August was or not because I didn't want any August titles anyway.

If that's the case I won't need anything, though I would add moderate recommendations of these 2021 releases for anyone on the fence:

The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings (which also includes a nice hour-long doc about the Negro Leagues)
The Big Fix
Invincible
The Chalk Garden

Worth watching at least if you're a fan of anyone involved with any of them

I'm in Maryland, and like swo, I'm (mostly) caught up with the things I want. Now that I got the two Mexican horrors from Deep Discount with a bunch of other labels' titles over the weekend, I mainly want the Noir 3 set and the standard edition of Taste of Fear (maaaybe at a push the LEs of Town on Trial and Geronimo). How soon do people plan on doing the group buy? I can let you know first thing on Friday morning if I decide to join.

I'm hoping they bring back more OOP LEs again, that was a cool sale inclusion that definitely motivated me to buy more films I had neglected in the past

The best news would be for them to drop the fixed shipping rate. Arrow let me choose a cheaper rate and the package from their concurrent sale still arrived faster in Maryland than Indicator's!

If Indicator doesn't have a limit on box sets I'm in. Per Finch's lead I ordered La Llorona and Phantom from ddd, and I'm mostly looking for a copy of whatever Noir and Hammer boxes are available in the sale.
