Shorter walk to the podium.

Mary Ann Bernard's always been a pretty ruthless editor.

I'll be here all night, ladies & germs.

Did they have Regina King host because of the film twitter outrage at her "snub"?

Do you love Wikipedia stubs and waiting to be let into Zoom meetings? This is the awards show for you.

I think they’ve got rotating presenters taking hosting duties? King was probably just doing the screenplays.

(And already a big miss for me in Adapted. Feels like the Hopkins upset is coming...)

I'm still surprised that Konchalovsky's Dear Comrades! didn't get nominated for International Feature

I hate this smeary, shaky, 24fps, wide-angle phone camera look. It looks pre-recorded (or converted from SECAM).

I see Regina King is showing the same flair for live TV comedy as she showed on SNL a couple months back.

Laura Dern wearing a modified version of the goat leggings from Dragnet.

Just based off of those short clips, the Tunisian movie looked like the most interesting one.

I was loving Kaluuya's speech and the shout-outs to the Panthers, and then it suddenly turned into Adam Sandler's "I want to thank my parents for having sex and conceiving me..."

Why would you shoot West Side Story that way?

Fuck, that West Side Story teaser looks EXACTLY as I thought it would, and half of those shots are from Wise/Robbins' film.

Apparently Kaluuya's mom and sister don't have names.

Until the first shot at the school dance, if you hadn't told me the title, I might've thought that Spielberg remade The Warriors.

I love how the Hair and Makeup nominees, without fail, sport the worst hair at all of these award shows.

I'm truly curious as to how the PR for this very expensive film is going to deal with that.

They'll probably kill him off in the movie to make it right

A mass shanking on a street corner is probably the best way to close out an adaptation of this property today.

I also am confused about how many major awards have been presented and so few technical awards.

Bong always seems like an extremely thoughtful person to me.

Also I didn't love Nomadland but that was a deeply impressive acceptance speech by Chloe Zhao.

Yeah I agree, she really does have her heart in the right place. Very humanistic speech.
