Light Sleeper is excellent news, really good stuff. Surprised they haven't done Auto Focus yet either though (especially as I imagine American Gigolo or Affliction are harder to acquire).

In fact, Light Sleeper is another StudioCanal title much like Roadgames and Buffalo Bill - I'd love to see them tackle Extreme Prejudice, Nickelodeon, Carnal Knowledge, Panic in Year Zero, The Silent Partner, One from the Heart, The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez, Honky Tonk Freeway? Maybe even Manhunter, The Cotton Club, Near Dark or Jacob's Ladder if they allowed!

Auto Focus desperately needs a non-censored Blu Ray release. The Twilight edition was unfortunately the American 'cut' of the film which pixilated out a couple of imagines one including a porno playing on a TV scene. An 'International" version of Auto Focus would be much welcome.

Those are great suggestions. I LOVE Honky Tonk Freeway. Seeing One From the Heart as it was originally released would be
fantastic as well. Silent Partner is my yearly holiday rewatch.

I'm excited to see how much better Indicator's Diary of a Mad Housewife will be than the pitiful Kino Lorber release.

StudioCanal always insists on region-locking. Indeed, they're so consistent on this that they even region-lock their own titles.

Coppola has been revisiting films recently, so I would expect One From The Heart to come from Lionsgate in the US first. It is also the only film between The Godfather and Bram Stoker's Dracula that doesn't have an acceptable BD release yet. The Rain People would be really interesting to see from Indicator.

I would like a release of Honky Tonk Freeway. Probably the last great film John Schlesinger made.

I don't know anything about its UK rights situation. I just floated it as a title that seems to fit the Indicator catalogue.

Would it be possible to get Ricky Jay and His 52 Assistants as a bonus feature?

WB emphatically states that they cannot touch their HBO-distributed titles, which is a shame (I'd LOVE Sidney Lumet's Strip Search and Altman's The Laundromat)

This is great news, though. I hope there is something on Shel Silverstein, who encouraged Mamet to take up cartooning (he actually published a book of
his cartoons; when I saw him at a reading, he walked the audience through some of them, which was an interesting experience).

Nice! That leaves only Homicide, State and Main, and Phil Spector as the remaining DVD-only Mamet-directed films

Mamet's film of The Winslow Boy is also DVD only--and it's a rather hazy-looking DVD at that. Would like to see an upgraded version of this great film. One of Mamet's best.

Yeah but Indicator's (if they release it) would be even more stacked and more affordable for anyone outside Australia.

I mean, it seems like exactly the kind of movie Indicator would release, but as far as I know they haven’t indicated a release is forthcoming

Ahhh yes. Hadn't seen that one. Price is a bit steep and no new extras. I'd still pay it for a clean, crisp transfer. Hopefully this release is an Indicator that there are better releases forthcoming...

Imprint have just announced Frankenheimer's Black Sunday. I hope if Indicator still have an active Paramount deal, they might consider this film - as well as other titles Imprint have recently released such as The Duellists, Hard Eight, The War of the Worlds, Danger Diabolik, Detective Story, Night Falls on Manhattan, Breakdown, and maybe A Place in the Sun (I've heard The Day of the Locust and Sorry, Wrong Number each have a bad master). Might be worth scouring the Paramount vaults for decent masters - I seem to recall Robert Benton's Bad Company looking half decent, but it might need a cleanup (and I think it might be worth it for such a great film as that).

Since Imprint puts this out in February then maybe from Indicator as well.
