Good to hear. Still no word on a delay for Satantango? I know they don't have a long track record to begin with, but the absence of a release date on the website with less than three months to go to the previously announced one isn't exactly inspiring hope that they're holding to it

Agreed. I was just thinking the same. But we can assume they will also have Werckmeister Harmonies

As well as Son of the White Mare, Arbelos are releasing a new 4K restoration of Marcell Jankovics' debut feature János vitéz (aka Johnny Corncob)

This is the poster they are selling on their site. No doubt this will be the bluray cover art (whenever it gets released)

You can currently watch the restoration on Kanopy, a free library app that has a ton of great features and shorts.

So I guess the Nov 10 release date (that still hasn't been updated) isn't happening anymore. Nice to hear that they're making plans for the release at least

Apparently that should only be available through the Arbelos online shop--I don't see it there yet.

What's usually different about the LEs with Arbelos, or is supposed to be added for the Satantango release?

So the exclusive contents are literally just an external slipcase?

They are also charging the same price as Amazon. So not even a real limited edition. Just a limited slipcover run.

I have no idea what Arbelos' original plans were but they said months ago that they were finding it difficult to put together with the pandemic ongoing and this does have scream of 'we give up, we can't delay it any longer'.

A shame if that's the case but if they're not too Sátántangó-oriented, maybe they can release what would have been the planned supplements with their Damnation release instead? I was going to spring for both films anyway, and I'm certain I'm far from the only one.
