Good descrip -- I can picture that scene, and her, perfectly. I like how Bogie nerds up.

Sonia Darrin's son was Mason Reese, that oompah-loompah-looking kid who made tons of commercials in the 70's.

I remember Reni Santoni from Bad Boys (1983) and Cobra (1986). Don’t remember what was his role in the former though, in the latter he was the foulmouthed partner for Cobretti.

Bizarrely, the very first nightmare I ever remember having in my life, when I was a child in the 1980s, was about Wilford Brimley trying to kill me, stalking my family through Fredericksburg, Texas. All I would have known him from at that point was the Quaker Oats commercials; and for some reason my subconscious decided to conjure him up and give me my first nightmare.

Composer Billy Goldenberg, who scored such feature films as The Last of Sheila, Up the Sandbox, Busting, The Grasshopper, and Red Sky at Morning, but is probably best known for his television work, which includes Night Gallery, Kojak, Columbo, Rhoda, and Spielberg's Duel.

Former Universal Studios chairman Tom Pollock. A lawyer by trade who helped George Lucas' spectacularly beneficial deal on Star Wars ancillary rights, he also greenlit The Last Temptation of Christ (which netted him many death threats) and Do the Right Thing.

According to Vinegar Syndrome on Twitter, Wings Hauser has passed away. If you haven't seen Vice Squad, I highly recommend it. Shot by John Alcott, it's a perfect slice of Los Angeles sleaze with Wings Hauser amped up to the max as the violent, western-clothed pimp, Ramrod.

Yes, his performance in Vice Squad is ace. Here's my write-up from the 80s list. Rest in peace to this colorful actor.
