The other kicker is that my father-in-law does have a strong childhood attachment to those films and others of their ilk and I could easily watch his copies! But no! Gotta get the Indicators!

Be aware that The Sinbad Trilogy box set is sold out and is unavailable from Indicator. The films will get individual releases in September, without the booklets. The other two Harryhausen sets are still listed, but no indication yet of low-stock.

Does anyone know what range of titles the sale will cover; recent releases as well or only those roughly more that one year old, like last time? We will find out soon enough I guess.

I'd be surprised if anything that recent was eligible, hoping mostly for last year's box sets

I believe the November sale last year has everything through April of last year? So probably everything released before January should be included.

But I still want it.
You've never seen Cabin Boy? Or, far less importantly, Star Wars?

Quite correct. It was also mentioend in their newsletter sent out at the same date, but I guess I skimmed it too quickly to notice; and besides since I have the three RH box sets, that news would not register to me. But anyone who is interested in the volume two might decide to make their move during the sale, assuming it will be part of it. In the August newsletter it was listed as "low stock"; not quite as dire as the "extremely low stock" ones, which did go OOP in the following weeks.

When did Indicator stop the free shipping offer on £100+? Doesn’t quite kill the deals but severely kneecaps any actual savings

They have £100 free shipping for UK still.

Ordered six. Gonna have a think and will probably fill out the rest of my gaps at some point this weekend if I think my wallet can bear it. Tend to preorder the bundles every month now so this is ideal for playing catch-up...

This is also the case for Australia, so I just got the Fuller box for now.

This looks like everything released through the end of 2018 at 50% or more off RRP. Some amazing deals, especially if you can spend at least 200 for free tracked international shipping. I wonder what it means that Odessa File is already sold out. Like, OOP sold out, or is this like a Criterion flash sale that only applies to stock on hand?

There are a few titles released in that window that aren’t on sale: The Big Heat and Happy Birthday to Me. I wonder if that’s a mistake? I was planning to get the former.

EDIT: Looks like they’ve marked down The Big Heat. :)

Criterion flash sale sold out. Happened last year with Fat City, only for it to come back.

If it were close to permanently selling out, Indicator would've given a heads up that it was nearly OOP.

Speaking of which, they just gave a heads up about EXPERIMENT IN TERROR, which is now down to 30 left.

I am (read: my wife is) currently buying and renovating a house, so please light a candle for me in support of the superhuman display of willpower it is requiring to not even open the email promoting this sale.

I got impatient and bought a few of these a few months back (Footsteps in the Fog, The St. Valentine's Day Massacre) so just went for two this time (Absolution, Born of Fire). Decided to order them along with pre-orders of Birdy and Time Without Pity to take advantage of the free postage (£50+). Also grabbed a tote bag as I wanted one when they were offering them with bundle deals but they stopped offering it by the time I finally bought a bundle (April and August of this year are the only times I wanted all titles on offer).

Decent sale, but slightly frustrating it wasn't in October/November as there would've been a few more I wanted if it had been then (e.g. R.P.M., A Severed Head, Immaculate Conception). Oh well, I suppose they'll still be available next year.

An important and often-overlooked step in renovating a home is installation of a blu-ray of Fat City.

I didn’t go quite as crazy as I’d initially thought I would but still picked up The Last Detail, Born of Fire, Wolf, The Lady from Shanghai and The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds, which is all on top of Age of Consent, which I ordered last week before I knew there would even be a sale. I don’t buy discs very often anymore, but I think this was a worthy exception. Or at least I hope so, because they’re all blind buys!

Is The Odessa File still available anywhere? I doubt it is OOP but I can’t find it for sale anywhere.
