The Lady Eve is another that has been held up for Blu-ray upgrade for element issues, and they may have to resign themselves to use less than ideal elements.

This is exciting news. Criterion may trickle out a few titles before a box set comes. I could see Juliet of the Spirits and La Strada for sure, and probably some others. For me, seeing a 4k restoration of Juliet of the Spirits is something that will be an absolute joy.

Lee Kline was asked about Greek cinema entering the Collection and he suggested yes. He wasn't specific about directors

Later on they talk to abbey lustgarten about the process for IBC, and on a question asking how many years they worked on IBC, she says “I wish we had years!” she reveals they went from first ideas for IBC in January of 2018, and delivered everything for printing in August of 2018 (maybe some bits and pieces in September ).

So when lee Kline says he assumes a big Fellini box, that’s still probably pretty speculative, rather than a sure thing or even a planned or calendared thing. And I’m guessing that since Issa Clubb has done every Fellini in the collection, he would have to want to do an IBC type of box.

So it seems we can speculate on a second Warner deal now right?

We know The Cameraman, Now Voyager are coming. Seems plausible Girlfriends could be forthcoming. Do we have some other ideas?

I Walked With a Zombie and Lolita are also very likely. And apparently Citizen Kane.

And then just speculating but I can possibly see Gold Diggers of 1933 (if Criterion wants at least one Berkeley movie in the collection), hopefully Top Hat, some silents like Greed or The Crowd. Others have speculated Singin in the Rain also and Holiday, Bringing Up Baby and Arsenic and Old Lace have been asked for for years now.

What makes I Walked With Zombie very likely? Is there any reason to believe that Criterion got more than just Cat People from the Lewton set? Seems more likely to come from SF at this point.

Since Scream has been churning out those Lewton titles quickly, the fact that that one still hasn’t been announced is good chance that it could’ve gone to Criterion as well.

Either that or there’s a hold up with the elements, but I imagine if it were to get announced by Criterion it would happen today so I guess we’ll see.

Not necessarily. They've taken time between announcing each one so far. Seventh Victim is another that hasn't been announced yet either.

Edit: Ghost Ship hasn't been announced yet either and Isle of the Dead has been taken off the schedule due to production issues. They haven't been rushing these out (Curse of the Cat People came out June 2018).

Another reasonable idea would be all three versions of Show Boat, given that Criterion previously released them on laserdisc many, many years ago.

For a WB second deal I think SOME, laserdisc titles would be/are a huge priority (there are only 99 LD titles that have not been migrated to DVD/Blu).

From a very quick skim, this seems to be most of the WB owned film (Some are MGM but WB owns a lot of their old library, iirc, like with RKO):

I could see Criterion going for John Ford's 7 Women. Warner have never done anything with it in the digital era, not even a MOD DVD in the Archive.

Someone who works on the Projection Booth podcast has said After Hours is supposed to be coming soon, per people from the film who are involved with the release. It’s a shaky rumor, but I bet that’s one of the titles from the new WB deal.

Holiday was released by Columbia, and so the rights would belong to Sony, and not Warner Bros. That being said, Criterion has released three other films Cary Grant made at Columbia, so there's still good cause for speculation that Criterion will release it, too.

Holiday has received a recent restoration, as noted on TCM, and Lee Kline left it in his non-dismissal “maybe” category when asked in the HTF interview. Here’s hoping.
