Considering how many Polanski films are in the collection and how much Chinatown has been in the cultural conversation since the Epstein arrest, I'm not so sure he's "cancelled" in the sort of way that would make Criterion stay away. If there's a restoration of The Tenant that's available to them, I'd be shocked if they'd pass on it.

If it is just the Showa series and Criterion includes the original, it'll be 14 or 15 films depending on if Universal licenses King Kong vs Godzilla to them.

I was expecting it to come out closer to the holiday season, much like the Bergman set, but there's no harm in having it out sooner. With that in mind, I can have at least one guess correct:

The Bergman set was announced in mid-July but didn't come out til November, and as I recall the Olympic set also was revealed outside of the regular announcements. I imagine it will get a separate announcement like those did, apart from the usual 15th of the month announces
