Excited about The Adventures of Hajji Baba. It's a film that Jonathan Rosenbaum always raved about even picking it for his selection in Sight and Sound's 75 Hidden Gems. The copy I grabbed online is terrible looking so I've avoided seeing it.

Glad I bought the 88 Films release of Glass Dolls, otherwise I'd be tempted to wait and see if TT's disc had any extras. It sounds like top tier giallo - can't wait to finally watch it.

Sword of Sherwood Forest sounds like it might make a later Hammer boxed set release from Indicator, and Hajji Baba definitely sounds like its up theirs or Arrow's alley.

So I don't think I'll be touching any TTs any time soon.

Yeah I'm very hesitant with TT nowadays with Indicator being around. Will definitely wait to see if Indicator does Hajji Baba. Their announcement of the title just makes me excited that it's now a possibility for a UK company to release it

Hajji Baba is an excellent film with some striking compositions in it. And a great theme song that hasn't left my head since I first heard it

Sword of Sherwood Forest had a DVD release by Sony here in the UK (both individually and in The Robin Hood Collection) so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it had an Indicator upgrade at some point in the future. In fact, this has just reminded me that it is currently sat in my Kevyip!

I could be wrong, but my memory is telling me that The True Story of Jesse James was pretty good. I remember Robert Wagner giving off the attitude of being a rebellious teen rather than a hardened criminal, but it's been over a decade since I saw it and my memory is fuzzy on this film. Any other opinions? I know it's also out on Blu in Germany.

I remember Hot Blood being his worst film, which like Jesse James, falls in between two of his masterpieces.

Hot Blood isn't great but it does at least exhibit Ray's fascination and identification with outsiders. I recall Ray's Jesse James basically being the CW version of the myth. I actually proposed it as part of an aborted project to revisit the least-favorite film of an auteur in the last iteration of the 50s List, but I never worked up the courage to watch it again!
