Here's the thread: http://www.criterionforum.org/forum/vie ... f=2&t=3502
The best part of that thread, which I no longer see anymore, was the "new" cover someone made by photoshopping a DVD with the original cover burning in a fireplace. See also.

I liked it too. It gives the perception that Brad Pitt's character is the villain of the film, which wasn't too far off from my first impressions after seeing it.

I honestly just wish they used the one Fox had, that was brilliant.

I like it. It’s not a typical style for Criterion.

I like it as well. It'll look great in person with the Scanavo casing (unless it's a DigiPack for some reason).

The small text in black needs a bit more loving but that illustration is amazing and very 60s. They must have bought the rights to use it for the cover.

If My Man Godfrey is coming, I’d like to see a new cover. And Rublev too.

Too much blue in the color scheme.

My Man Godfrey absolutely sucks, Cold Water is bare but effective, Andrei Rublev is classy as hell.

I wish Cold Water's title was a little bit lower.

I am going to puke all over that My Man Godfrey cover. Seriously, the old one was one of the absolute best in the collection, and one of the few great ones they ever did for a classic Hollywood picture.

I wish they'd gone with the French title

I'm pretty sure I could find an Emo album with art similar to Cold Water's as well.

LOVE the cover for Andrei Rublev. The DVD cover always looked like he was about to drop a dope verse over a hip-hop beat.

I also like the My Man Godfrey cover a lot, though I seem to be in the early minority.

This is how I feel too. I thought the old cover was one of the finest ones they released.

I'll join you in this very small camp.

Love the Rublev cover as well.

I'd prefer "an Andrei" be with "Tarkovsky film", but that'd ruin the composition. It's a phenomenal cover, regardless.

I think that’s basically my only complaint about the Rublev cover too.
