Tho' he's more known for his spaghetti westerns, Valerii did direct and cowrite a superior giallo, My Dear Killer, a movie that works as a summary of the whole subgenre: it not only contains all the characteristic elements and themes laid on on the surface, but executes them with craft (eg.: you can actually tell what's going on). It makes a good template to work from. A movie I'd send anyone to if they were interested in knowing what the giallo is all about.

Woah, that's a shame. He made a big impact to me in a short time as I saw him in 24, The X-Files, and Se7en all around the same time in college (The X-Files & Se7en were older roles, but I was seeing them for the first time).

But something in that article doesn't make sense. If he was 28 while making The Crow, he couldn't have been 61 now...
