This might be reason enough for establishing a new topic for Kino Repertory once more details are available, unless this is simply a newer name for this label...

Sounds like it's a different label in a sense, as these are titles that Kino has a direct hand in helping fund restorations / remasters.

There could be weird legal restrictions in their licensing agreements. Only thing I can think of.

Or simply outside their production budget. If Martin doesn't control the rights outright*, they'd have to license it from Madman, who will obviously expect to be paid for the privilege.

Put it like this - there's a reason why Eureka's Three Days of the Condor doesn't feature the Sydney Pollack commentary, and it's not for want of trying to get hold of it!

(*A case in point - Danusia Stok told me in person that I was welcome to recycle as much of her now-OOP book Kieślowski on Kieślowski in Arrow's Dekalog project as I wanted. Which was lovely of her, but it wasn't ultimately her call - although thankfully Faber & Faber proved similarly co-operative.)

A 2k restored Deluge (1933) has been purchased by Kino for their repertory program, followed by KL Studio Classics Bluray.

Even the US release from Paramount didn't feature the commentary. One of the only times I imported a Blu.
