I wonder if there's any chance of seeing a re-issue (and remaster) of Farewell My Lovely...

In my case, I actually pre-ordered the deluxe edition of the Halloween: Complete Collection Blu-Ray set. It's just that, well, when else will I ever have an opportunity to own something like all 10 Halloween films including the Producer's Cut of Halloween 6?

Definitely on board for UHF.

Interesting that MGM would license Mad Max after allowing their disc to be reissued in the Warner set just last year, but does make sense to capitalize on the new film coming out in May.

Escape from New York is in definite need of an upgrade after the underwhelming MGM blu-ray from 5-6 years ago.

Great to see Escape From New York. Finally! Hopefully Scream Factory give the AV a much needed overhaul.
Though yeah, Mad Max is unexpected and seems a bit out of left field.
I guess I can add Dolls to a frustratingly growing list of films I bought in one BD edition thinking this'll be it only to have one on the other side of the pond get announced shortly after. It's hard to find that even balance between wait-and-see, and buying before it falls out of print.

Oh, and Scarecrows. I'd be very curious to see this given a decent transfer. I remember seeing this several times on late night TV years ago, with an image so dark you could barely tell what was going on throughout the entire film. It was still a lot of fun, though the YouTube trailer makes it look a lot trashier than my memories of it.

I actually own Scarecrows on DVD, not a bad film last I saw it. I guess it's time to upgrade; actually their recent line of Scream Factory titles is pretty much a goldmine for me. A few slasher films, supernatural Horror, animal attack and a few dystopian future films. I'm sold.

I bought Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome separately at good sale prices on Amazon, so I'll be glad to hold out for Shout Factory's new Mad Max...and I'll sure buy a fourth copy of EFNY.

They're also releasing The Compleat Al, which I rented from Movietime Video in Jenks, OK about every three days in the summer of 1986 and haven't seen since.

I am surprised I didn't see it as a kid (I've never even heard of it), as I loved Weird Al and definitely knew UHF by heart. "Fond" memories of my mom buying me a VHS of all of Weird Al's music videos for Christmas and then insisting we sit down and watch them together so she can see what she bought me (Not for content, I've established before my mom had horrible sensors for that kind of thing, but just to see if she got her money's worth)-- it was like watching the coolest thing in the world while sitting next to the sister of the guy who was murdered by the coolest thing in the world. To this day I'm not sure why she sat through the whole thing. Maybe, like some of us now, so that she could complain about it with impunity!

I somehow never heard of it either, presumably because Jeff kept the only copy in Oklahoma to himself. And I was a big enough fan that my Weird Al inspired antidrug a cappella group was asked to perform at multiple school assemblies, so...

Just a few months ago here in Tulsa, there was a 25th anniversary screening of UHF with Weird Al in attendance. I found it amusing that about half the audience was in the film. During the Q&A, people would get up with the microphone and say things like, "I was the lady in the oatmeal."

Release dates announced for the following titles (from the Scream Factory FB page):

11/4 - The Doctor and the Devils
11/11 - Dolls (Collector's Edition)
11/18 - The Dark Half & Monkey Shines

Also, Clive Barker's Lord of Illusions is set for December release while New Years Evil and Dog Soldiers are planned for 2015. In addition, Hellhole is still stuck in a quagmire of legal issues and usable elements problems needed to be sorted out before a release date can be announced.

Seems odd to use white instead of black for the background space, but it looks great.

Lifeforce is being reissued to remove the behind the scenes featurette due to legal reasons. They're now calling the original release a "Limited Edition," which is is, but inadvertently. Still, might as well pick it up now because you know people will pay twice MSRP for this since it'll be OOP
