According to IMDB, these are all of the movies excerpted in the film (none of which star Hopkins):
20,000 Years in Sing Sing (1932)
The Last Gangster (1937)
Mr. & Mrs. Smith (1941)
This Gun for Hire (1942)
Happy Go Lucky (1943)
Francis (1950)

So one thing I've always wondered... was Krusty the Clown's "Worker and Parasite" cartoon actually based off of anything? The Simpson's Wiki doesn't mention a reference.
This image is scanned from an old collage. Someone I know who was involved with some of these particular works back then told me he was pretty sure it was a still from a film. Anyone know what it could be?
Could anyone please help me identify an old movie?
I have seen it in the early '90s. I still remember some of the plot and details from it.
It was about some woman scientist that worked on a project for building a robot. She succeeded in doing so but she gave the robot her memories and her looks. Eventually it all turned wrong when the robot had an identity crisis think she was the real woman and went all crazy trying to kidnap/rescue her sun.
The woman that made her had to fight her and get her son back.
I involved guns and lots of action, also a subway. Where the robot still kept on rising even after she was hit by a subway train. She eventually saved the boy giving him back to his real mother, sacrificing herself.
I remember also some details about the looks. She had a red leather jacket and probably blond hair. The jacket had some wide shoulder pads so the movie should be from end '80 beging of '90s.
The story is very much like the one in Terminator 1, but in this case the robot is a woman.
I have done some research but i can't find anything on this film.
Does anyone remember having seen this movie in the past?
I apologize if this/these have been asked about, but I have so few details I can't really even search the thread effectively, and it's rather long to read through manually... Basically my only hope is human intelligence and memory.
So, this is either one movie or multiple movies I'm conflating together in my memory, which is possible, because these are films I saw pieces of at the drive-in theater as a tiny child, probably 6 or under, which would mean something probably made between 1977 and 1983. I only have a couple images in my memory, because my parents would take me and my brother to the drive-in, and pay for a double feature. The first was always a kiddie movie, and the second was generally a grownup movie. We'd get sent to the back seat after the first movie, and generally fall asleep, but occasionally the grownup movie was exciting which generally meant lots of violence and blood, or something was confusing enough about it that I wanted to know what was going on. My parents would always try to block me from seeing, so I only have little bits and pieces.
Anyway, two details, and these might be separate movies.
1. A group of people, I think on like a beach or shore of a body of water, are putting someone into a box or maybe a small boat type thing, and then nailing it shut, trapping them inside, and pushing it out into the body of water. I want to say the body of water is the ocean, but it could have been a lake, I wouldn't have known the difference. It may have been a woman and infant being sealed up in the box/boat/whatever, or that could just be something I'm confused about.
2. Someone turns into a monster, I think green-skinned, but roughly human looking, and kills people a couple of times. There's always lots of blood, I seem to have a picture in my head of the green monster guy just literally covered in blood... that ridiculously bright red technicolor stuff from the old movie days.
I think this was a sword and sorcery or mythological movie, but I really couldn't swear to any of this. I can only barely remember this stuff, and again, I'm not sure if they're the same movie or not. But any help would be highly appreciated! I've tried looking through lists of movies made during the right time period, but there's like over 10,000... they made a lot of cheap movies for the drive-ins back then o.o
I remember reading about a movie once, possibly on Jonathan Rosenbaum's old site, about a man who loses the will to live and pays a hitman to kill him with the stipulation that he doesn't want to know when it will happen or see it coming. I believe it's a French film. Thanks in advance.
I suspect that plot has seen service more than once, but I Hired A Contract Killer does fit the description. Although the only thing French about it is its star Jean-Pierre Léaud and one or two supporting cast members.
There's also that Peter Medak film The Odd Job in which Graham Chapman hires David Jason to kill him after he finds out his wife is having an affair, but unfortunately changes his mind and is unable to call off the hit!
Okay, I'm gonna take a shot describing a plot that I vaguely remember but have never been able to piece together and identify. From what I recall, this could have been a made-for-TV movie in the '80s but I can't be 100% accurate on that part. I was seeing it on TV in the '80s so that's about as accurate as it gets. Also, it may or may not have been based on some kind of "true" story.
I'm not too sure of the time period, but the beginning of the story takes place in an older style schoolhouse where all of the kids of various ages are grouped together... very small school out in a field, possibly. Then, for whatever reason, some bad guys come along and essentially kidnap the students and teachers, put them on the school bus, and drive them out to the middle of nowhere. There's a hole in the ground (possibly covered up by a large rock) that leads down into an underground cavern. The bad guys force the students and teachers down into the hole, cover it back up and leave. There's a body of water down in the cavern so one of the older students takes a chance to try swimming through the water to see if there's an opening on the other side of the rocks so that everyone can get out. There is a way out, he discovers, so the teachers and older students help the younger children swim out the other side. They finally manage to find their way out of the cavern and into some farmland. They eventually come across a farmhouse and proceed toward it to find a telephone or possible help. When they get to the farmhouse, an older man (or woman) answers the door to help them. After he invites them in, though, the students and teachers realize that they've walked into a situation where the same kidnappers are at the farmhouse and have been terrorizing the old couple... and, that's pretty much all I can recall of the movie.
If this sounds familiar to anyone, any help identifying this movie would be great appreciated. It's been haunting me for over 20 years now trying to figure it out.
