I do also think that Tarantino has a discernible point of view on vengeance, and that theme runs through the majority of his work.

Here is a recent list of QT's favorite films of all-time. You can see a common theme within the films on this list. I would't necessarily say revenge and retribution is the theme, but I would say 'getting even' is something he values strongly.

Actually, it seems very appropriate that the two filmmakers that would inspire people to compare ranked lists of their work would be Tarantino and Wes Anderson, who are the current entry-level auteurs for burgeoning, list-crazed film geeks (check it, old-timers). Don't leave out Fincher, though, and wake me up when we start ranking Roy Del Ruth films.

Honestly, it's fine to make these kinds of lists, I suppose. People are talking about movies at least. You guys are forgetting Tarantino's E.R. episode, though, which I thought was better than his C.S.I. episode. Next he needs to do an N.C.I.S. episode. Only initialism shows.

Perhaps I need to re-watch it (though I've see it two or three times now), but it doesn't hold my attention nearly as much as the rest of his films, particularly the revenge pictures. Though I realize that's becoming more and more of an unpopular opinion.
