There were 5 titles that Lionsgate released from the Republic library on blu-ray:

Cujo
Highlander
Highlander II
The Monster Squad
The Running Man

I've learned that the original Highlander is still with Lionsgate as the rights have apparently reverted to StudioCanal instead of Republic. So it looks like The Running Man will be the last of four Republic titles released on BD by Olive that were previously released by Lionsgate.

Pardon the repetition. As a European I can handle several languages, including both American and British English, but I am not native speaker. I feel I lose too much when the dialogue goes beyond simple chats. Some of my American friends are in the same boat with me but for different reason: loss of hearing is very common as people get older.

I'm a contributor to the DVDBeaver poll 2012 and I can reveal that no Olive release will get my vote. I don't own a single release from Olive. And I am really sorry for that. I have said it before, and I say it again: people need subtitles. Sorry for my utter naivety.

I don't think anyone's going to argue that the lack of subtitles/captioning is anything but bullshit- it's one of a few different places where it seems as though Olive is cheap beyond the point of reason.

The Antonioni is not licensed from Paramount like all the others, so it's very possible that they don't have a source they can use that is good enough for HD from the licensee.

I'm an American, and I often watch movies in English with subtitles on. I first bought Gosford Park on VHS, and there were many sections which I would re-wind 5 and 6 times, trying to understand the lines, without success.

When the DVD came out (subtitled), then I could finally get all the dialogue.

Should still get a release from Olive at some point in 2013. It's one of my most anticipated titles, too.

PLUNDER ROAD and CRY VENGEANCE are top 100 noirs for me. CAUGHT, TRY AND GET ME, OUTAGE, CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS and CRY DANGER are all purchase-worthy, too.

Haven't seen CRASHOUT or SHACK OUT ON 101 yet.
