I have seen only excerpts, but the title is very accurate: it's apparently almost entirely footage of Richter painting. It will be a blind buy for me (Richter is my favorite living artist).

Somehow I doubt they are going to release a title like Roy Colt and Winchester Jack on blu,it must be one of the worst spaghetti westerns(that should say something!).I haven't seen Bava's other westerns but apparently he had no feel for western genre.

Also,I have no idea if the Kino's releases are going to include Tim Lucas's audio commentaries, surely he's a world's leading Bava expert.

Damn, and here was me thinking you meant the Vincent Ward film.

Regarding the Bava releases, I wouldn't be surprised if Tim Lucas did something for the Kino releases, having written the essay included with the Rollin's. Don't think there's any concrete info out there yet though. Aside from the first few titles to be released.

Could be the most stacked Buster release yet, as none of them have commentaries.

Among the Kino Keatons, Sherlock JR has a commentary (with Kalat).

Tim Lucas posted on Bruce Holecheck's facebook page and said that his Black Sunday and Lisa and the Devil commentaries will be included and he has recorded a new one for Hatchet for the Honeymoon.

This was already an essential buy for me, but the above just makes it all the sweeter. Can't wait.

Hopefully someday Lucas gets his Kill baby kill(or" Operazione paura",a much more sophisticated title)commentary out.I think he first recorded it in 1999 for Image's release which never materialized and then later for Dark Sky but that disc was cancelled due to rights issues.

Don't recall any significant issues with the HK releases wrt elements. One of them, don't recall which, did have some pretty bad English subtitles though.
The subtitles for As Tears Go By are fine but the subtitles for Days of Being Wild are allegedly awful. I own the As Tears Go By HK release and it looks decent but soft. However, as I understand it, it is "working as intended." I did not buy Days of Being Wild because of the alleged subtitle issue.

Come on Kino! Lets get Days of Being Wild released in the states with real English subtitles.
If the subtitles of As Tears Go By on HK Blu Ray are the same as what's on dailymotion, then it's pretty bad as well. I watched the first five minutes or so of it to get an indication and there's grammar mistakes for nearly every line of dialogue though you can tell what is intended.

I hope Kino can bring both As Tears Go By and Days of Being Wild to Blu Ray or along with any other Wong Kar Wai film they can. I can't say I'm too hopeful as there's been a void on this front, which is disappointing.

Seven Chances also has a commentary, though it's not nearly of the quality of Kalat's.

Surprised to see no discussion of the Kino Wertmuellers yet. ImportCDs sent mine a full three weeks ago but I've only just got "home" home and so haven't had a chance to watch them.

is there any review about any of the 3 Lina Wertmüller's films? I expect they'll be region free.

Thank you both. Another question: subtitles can be switched off, can't they?
I love, love, love Film d'amore e d'anarchia. Giannini's Italian is really tough so I need subs but not always.

I've never seen Tutto a posto e niente in ordine.
