But Event Horizon is better than every movie Nolan has made

Well no one can defeat the charm of eyeless individuals and Sam Neil.

The awesome trailer parody. The expressions on the face of the Bruce Wayne character are worth it for that alone.

SNL did a not-as-funny-as-that parody with Steve Buscemi as Gordon, that even caught Gary Oldman's attention and praise.

I hope someone close to Nolan has the balls to tell him before they lock sound that his lead villain is incomprehensible through that mask.
Apparently Nolan has altered his sound-mix after the folks at Warners pleaded with him to at least make his villain audible to audiences.

Just got back from MI:4 Imax (which, surprisingly, might have been my favorite film of the year, and I don't even like action films) and the Dark Knight Rises Prologue was pretty awesome. It did a lot more for me than the trailer, at least. I'm still apprehensive about whether or not I'll buy our new villains' motivations / ambitions for evildoing, but it did add some texture to Bane's character in his sheer craftiness and determination. Oh yeah, and his character sounded fine enough to me, so maybe they've already reedited it?

I'm not much a fan of these movies, but that warrant is really cool.

So, is the document suggesting we go to the addresses closest to where we live, vandalize the buildings with DARK KNIGHT-related graffiti, take photos and send the photos in? If that's the case, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream in Ann Arbor, MI is going to be pissed...along with dozens of other businesses!

That Hines Ward football "shoe commercial-like" scene has to be the worst thing in these 3 films. Really off-putting. Other than that, Tom Hardy's Bane looks great.

I really like the subdued approach of each trailer for this. Something that'll no doubt be lost when the TV commercials come out, but that's the nature of the beast.

Can anybody say what this article is referring to? I do remember hearing about it...

Link

Because I saw tickets were going on sale an 12:00 US EDT today, and lo and behold, there were IMAX tickets to be had in NYC for Midnight 7/20 (at Lincoln Square, no less), and I know because I added one and took it through to the payment page, before going back and selecting a ticket on a day I could go.

So were those tickets in January special, or something? I had the fortune to be at Lincoln Square for the July 14th, 2008 World Premiere of The Dark Knight (I saw Michael Caine :)) and I saw "last minute" free tickets being handed out to a lucky few for the IMAX premiere--I wonder are these a similar thing, but this time, WB simply sold them in advance of the regular tickets as opposed to handing them out to people who happened to shove through a premiere crowd?

Any place to find that poster? Or is it just another fake internet one? It looks gorgeous.

It's available, but expensive. $40, and available only for 24 hours.

Thanks for the link. I think I'm going to bite and buy it. I was expecting $60, since that is usually what Mondo sales some of these posters for.

Review embargo is over. Here are Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, The Playlist, and Indiewire's takes. Raves all around.
