I love Accatone and Silence particularly but Gospel looks a bit like a bumper sticker you might find in Lourdes

Fantastic covers!

Of course those circles on Insect Woman and Pigs And Battleships aren't actually stickers but part of the design. They're very like the ones on the BFI Ozu blu-rays...

Nice covers - though I find Repo Man a bit drab. I hadn't seen that sacrilegious Accatone poster before: what a fantastic, and fantastically appropriate, image.

Even with the hint of a skeleton behind Estevez?

Yeah. There are so many other really strong, dramatic images in that bunch that this one fades into the background (a bit like that skeleton), even with the punchy primaries.

Not sure about this. It ain't a bad cover by any stretch of the imagination, but the amount of white space doesn't work as well as it does on SILENT RUNNING.

By the way, we got any cover art for RoGoPaG yet?

Very disappointed to see the ultracool Two-Lane Blacktop cover disappear in favour the new one. The first version was just spot on. What deity will i have to turn to now? To reverse engineer this, i mean. Oh no!

I'd imagine it has something to do with the fact that it's being used on a steelbook as well, generally photo covers don't crossover well onto steelbooks. Having said that, I still prefer the newer version.

Just curious--is the Touch of Evil steelbook similar to the one for Metropolis (i.e. a figure 8)? And is the regular packaging for Silent Running the same width as the recent dual releases, but just missing an insert tray for a second disc?

Touch of Evil steelbook is a figure 8 case.

And regular Silent Running is the same packaging as the dual formats, just missing the insert tray.

The new TLB cover's good, but it'd be even better with three Laurie Birds

How about with four Larry Birds?

Hmm my mind apparently combined hardwood and blacktop and thought that made sense. Ah well.
