A friend of mine pointed out that Tabu, Spione, Le Silence de la mer and possibly others are no longer available from amazon.uk whereas essentially everything else is shipping in 3 to 4 weeks. Since these don't really seem like the movies to go out of print in my opinion and because other DVDs like Sunrise, City Girl, M, etc. are also unavailable, I think it is quite possible that these could be upgraded to dual format releases.

Why oh why did my neurotic, near-constant reloading of the forums have to take a break this morning?!

I wouldn't like to make my first post here an uncertain observation, but it seems like Funeral Parade of Roses is gone. Also, could anyone confirm the workings going behind Tabu and others, or do I have to wait till October 3rd?

FUNERAL PARADE OF ROSES will be repressed and in stock in about a month.

We are looking at upgrading TABU to a Dual Format edition next year.

Damn, that would be awesome. Is that lost-stock related, or just because it deserves an upgrade?

That would be amazing. I bought this on DVD at the back end of last year, but it'd still be a day 1 purchase for me. In fact, I can't think of any MoC DVD I'd rather see upgraded. (Except maybe for Faust, hint hint!).

I'll repeat this sentiment. This is one of the few titles that I would genuinely double dip for.

Given how amazing City Girl and Sunrise turned out, I think I'd double dip for any Murnau on blu. (Well, maybe not The Finances of the Grand Duke)

I concur, fantastic news.

On an unrelated note, will any of the Eureka! Classics get upgraded to the MoC banner? Das Cabinet Des Dr. Caligari for one...

I'm curious as to how MOC will handle the Tabu book for the dual edition. Will my local library get my old copy or not?

I'm sure they'll do the same thing they did with the booklet for Une femme mariée.

Tabu on Blu! Honestly over the moon about this... probably my favorite silent film, or at least, a top 3... Thanks so much for this (if it happens)!

We've been hoping to bring DAS CABINET DES DR CALIGARI into the MoC Series for a number of years now. Awaiting stupendous HD restoration.

If you do bring it over as an extra will you also add the complete version of Genuine? I'd love to have that on home video versus the truncated version available now.

I am quite happy to wait for the October 3rd bulletin but I hope that front-runners for an upgrade get some extra supplements if they have become available - as per the Gaumont blu of Silence de la Mer for example.

I would love to see Dreyer's 'Passion of Joan of Arc' on Blu.
Does anyone know if it has had an HD restoration?
