I predict a new anniversary edition in 5 years time (or earlier) with the newly found deleted scenes plus 'It’s a Strange World – The Filming of Blue Velvet'.

Yeah, because that always happens with Lynch films

Haha every time I read one of your posts it ends up being a sarcastic reply.

I generally like mfunk, but he does seem to be on a bit of a negative tangent lately

I promise that it's just a coincidence! I'll try to reduce my overall sarcasm percentage.

Cold Bishop, in the Criterion and Paramount thread, wrote:Paramount owns none of those. MGM owns a few, but unless Criterion can get a shot at an Optimum style boxset, I'd doubt they'd touch them.

And Hickey and Boggs is floating around in a very watchable TV Rip, sourced from the MGM-HD broadcast. A big favorite of mine. It was also available once on iTunes, might still be.
I never managed to track down that TV Rip, but MGM has released it through their MOD program.

That one completely slipped everyone's radar! Is it gonna be an Amazon.com exclusive?

Just a heads up, Best Buy currently has the Straw Dogs Blu-ray on sale for $10 and it is one of the Blu-rays eligible for their Upgrade and Save trade-in program (trade-in any used DVD and get $5 off select Blu-rays), making it $5.

But don't trade in the Criterion DVD, because the Blu is featureless!

Obviously. Do like me and trade in old MGM DVDs of titles that have been released on Blu-ray by Criterion.

And then kick a pebble down the parking lot when the Best Buy employees tell you that they don't stock that Criterion title.

No, the DVD you trade-in doesn't have to be the same title you buy on Blu-ray. Any commercially produced DVD (except porn) can be traded in for $5 off any of the 140 titles on the list I linked to.
