I'm feeling that Colossal Youth cover - quite haunting!

I thought Imamura was release of the year, but Kobayashi may have taken the cake!

Incredible news! This is among my favorite Criterions and one I've been patiently waiting to get put out on Blu-Ray. Seems with Masters of Cinema releasing it, I don't have to wait much longer!

EDIT: I forgot to comment on the cover on a cover art thread. I was never crazy about the Cuban poster used on Criterions release which made the film look more like sixties samurai camp. This feels more in tune with the minimalist design pf the actual film.

Your covers are so consistantly great, I must say.

Why do I love the Eureka!/MoC/Spine # banner branding so much! It should be clunky and dated. But it isn't!

Before every announcement I find myself asking, "What color will they think of next?"

Good timing too, what with Miike's adaptation in the news lately at Cannes (unfortunately it was widely panned). Looking forward to whenever it comes out (September?).

I didn't even mean it as a real question, just to show how wonderful MoC covers are compared to others. :P

It's definitely more representative, but I don't think the other one is inherently bad.

That looks like a crappy picture, too, since the blu on the case is a weird color. That said: MoC's design is gorgeous in its minimalism, and there's a real sense of tension to it, a sense of something about to happen.

Whoa! The only way that would look better is if it were on a blu.

I gotta say that cover is way cooler than the Criterion.

MOC's covers tend to be hit and miss with me, but this one is my very favorite of theirs.
