I found that one as well, but is that the AE edition? The cover isn't in that typical AE style and the extras are a bit different.

Yes, this is the AE Edition. It actually has a two-sided cover: the one displayed at amazon and one in line with AE's corporate design. So everyone's free to choose.

Yeah, I completely forgot to try that, and yet I always do that on the Noth American sites. I trust the AE version isn't censored, right?

I understand it does not. Of the Bresson films released on DVD in France only the MK2 box (L'Argent, Pickpocket, Jeanne d'Arc) has English subtitles.

Artificial Eye Apu Trilogy is £9.97 from Amazon UK right now. Of course I ordered even if I can't help but think this means a better version is right around the corner.

Uhmmmm... [Strains memory] ... I think that they are removable. They are Americanized-English and some dialogue is missed out, though. I rented this disc this year. The transfer is excellent and the extras were of a high quality.

Can anyone unequivocally confirm whether or not the subtitles are removable?

These seem to be changing regularly. Marie et Julien is back to full price, but further goodies are available in the form of:

Dolls (Kitano)
Time Regained (Ruiz)
Merci pour le chocolat (Chabrol)
Platform (Jia)
The Tango Lesson (Potter)
any of Kieslowski's Three Colours and Short Film About Killing

All half-price or less (plus you lose the VAT if you're overseas, which added up to the same as postage for me).

Apu Trilogy is back up to full price. I'm glad I jumped on this right away and was able to get it at the sale (mis)price.

Re: Apu Trilogy - I suspect it may have been a misprice. I bought 3 copies, xmas gifts for dear friends, their going to think I'm extremely generous :)
