As a tie-in to Strange Case it would be marvelous if you could license these two. I doubt the Portuguese disc will have english subs.

Great news. I missed Marwencol at Hot Docs, but it looks incredible.

Will you be re-releasing any of your previous DVD titles on Blu? I'd love to see 35 Shots of Rum and The Beaches of Agnes on Blu.

For the moment we'll be concentrating on getting as much of our upcoming films on blu-ray as possible. But we do hope to go back at some point and re-release some of our recent titles on blu-ray.

Great news! I'm excited about 2011 with Cinema Guild. Sweetgrass and Everyone Else on Blu would be a beautiful thing.

Marwencol was the best new documentary I saw last year (see my comments in the 'Dynamic Top Ten' thread if you're interested in more info). Well done, Cinema Guild!

That's all I need to safely consider a purchase. Congrats on the leap forward Cinema Guild. Now all I need is a release date on those Sokurov's and I'll be as happy as a clam.

Just putting in a belated plea for The Strange Case of Angelica to come out on Blu-ray. It's a lovely and beguiling old-fashioned film that would greatly benefit from the latest technology.

Great news, I love that film.

It is great you have a few titles due out on Blu-ray as well. CG, do you have any plans to release Petzold's films on Blu-ray?

A Blu Sylvia would be fantastic!

Of course, so would North American releases of Innisfree, Train of Shadows, and In Construction.

I just hope it's in the correct AR unlike the Axiom R2...

A Blu would be great, but man oh man, that looks awesome anyway. Some Photos in the City of Sylvia would be a wonderful supplemental treat.

Not at the moment. But hopefully if blu-ray sales are strong, and the demand is there, we'll go back and start doing blu-rays on our older titles.

We're only doing a DVD of IN THE CITY OF SYLVIA, but the transfer looks amazing.

We're also big fans of Jose Luis Guerin's films (IN CONSTRUCTION is mesmerizing!), so if SYLVIA does well, we'll definitely look into releasing his other work.

Thanks! I recently bought the German editions of Ghosts, and Jerichow, and didn't know your label was releasing his films in the USA. I really like The State I am in, and I noticed the German edition is non anamorphic and unsubbed, so will try and purchase your release now I know there are no confirmed plans for a Blu-ray. My luck usually means I import a DVD and then find a new release out in a few months time lol.

Anyway, thanks for releasing his work on DVD.

We're big admirers of Petzold's work, and really the entire Berlin school. If you haven't done so already, you should also check out our DVD of Maren Ade's EVERYONE ELSE.

You can keep up with all of our releases, especially upcoming titles, at cinemaguild.com/homevideo - and of course, our facebook and twitter pages.

Would you perhaps, then, be interested in finding a home for Hochhäusler's superb The City Below? [-o<
