Correct -- but there's more.

Just got back from the execrable 'Secrets in their Eyes' in which the only highlight of the evening was seeing the new MoC trailer for Metropolis on the big screen. Mighty fine work lads.

Does Dual-Format simply mean 1 Blu and 2x DVD?
Steelbook is just fancier case?
T-shirt is cool.

But when you combine red and blue you get magenta, not green.

Will the Kalat-Rosenbaum track be a joint commentary or not?

Yes, they recorded it together. They interact.

Really? I can't imagine Kalat shutting up much (not that that's a bad thing). Still, two of my favorite critics. I hope the chemistry is good as this is shaping up to be another release of the year for me.

Glad that the Japanese yen is so strong right now....
It's finally time to replace the old Kino DVD (with the commentary that I hated)

Unfortunately, I can confirm that the MoC BD releases of METROPOLIS will be "Region B".

Then this`ll be the reason to go region free for those of us who haven`t already.

Every single Kino Blu-ray, including a title also licenced from Transit (BATTLESHIP POTEMKIN) is region free. So it's not unreasonable to suppose they might have just continued along this path. Again, we have no problem with region free and wanted them to continue along this path, but we let them make the call on this one.

I don't have a blu-ray player, but I went for the 3 disc steelbook edition since the pre-order price on amazon.co.uk is the same for all three editions :D

This certainly makes me lose a lot of respect for Kino. I have already been buying all of the MoC Blu-rays, even though I am region A locked (for now), but even if I wasn't I would not buy the Kino release on principle. This whole situation is really shitty on their part and I have no doubt that their disc will be inferior. Hopefully by November, I'll have the modded Cambridge Audio player I have been coveting.
