Does anyone think there could be any hope of Criterion picking up any films by Kim Ki-young? It would be great to see some of his work as he has been cited as a primary influence to many of today's best Korean directors. From what I've read "the Housemaid" (1960) is supposed to be his best.

I'm optimistic that Stagecoach (DVD/BD) finally makes it out, but I'm not sure what else is likely.

I had the pleasure of seeing a print of Lola Montes earlier this year and it would make for a glorious Criterion Blu-ray.

Seven Samurai was just released on blu in Japan. Don't they have to wait six months until they release it? Probably they will announce it in the first quarter of 2010!

Lots of releases I've never seen that I'm greatly interested in. I may be most excited for Make Way for Tomorrow, despite no Blu-ray. Can't fault them for that, though.
