L'amante del demonio (Lucifera - Demon Lover, Paolo Lombardo 1972)
America così nuda, così violenta (Naked and Violent, Sergio Martino 1970)
Fino alla morte (Until Death, Lamberto Bava 1987)

I think the problem is a that the number boutique labels are increasing and you need to be fast to secure the rights and also to beat competition from other territories releasing stealing your market. I like MYA a lot even though the Joe D. movies are some of the worst i've ever seen, as they continue to bring me suprises I would never have come accross if it wasn't for them. As long as they focus on the films and not extrax and packing, they should be able to keep up the speed releasing 3-4 DVD's a month.ouatitw wrote:Hopefully this company will do well. It does seem weird to be releasing this many obscure titles that fast (criterion's releases this many as someone else pointed out but criterion's titles are far more mainstream than many of these).
A mondo by sergio Martino? Sounds interesting.hammock wrote:America così nuda, così violenta (Naked and Violent, Sergio Martino 1970)
I'll try and make a quick one for you:Scharphedin2 wrote:So, Hammock, with the big sales (hopefully) right around the corner, is there a handful of MYA's releases that you could recommend above the rest for their qualities as films, as well as the quality of presentation (ie "original" Italian sound/Eng. subs, extras, etc)? And/or let us know more specifically, which films did not meet your expectations.

Thanks, appreciated!Scharphedin2 wrote:Could you post a link (or pm) to your review. I would be interested in reading it.

Why would you do that? The reason we have these threads for labels is so that people can easily find information about them.hammock wrote:I will continue this thread here bringing news about new titles etc.
Not sure why I had that idea!? Maybe it was to save time, but I see it's stupid now. Will continue here and fix the main index with new titles etc. later today. Thanks helping me think. Cheers!Matt wrote:Why would you do that? Sales sheet and other info here!Peacock wrote:I've not been able to find information on Satan's Wife anywhere online.... director, plot, anyone?
All I know is that it was the film Truffaut "most admired"
SATAN'S WIFE is a nonsensical new title for Pier Carpi's RING OF DARKNESS. Sporting an eclectic cast including Marisa Mell, John Phillip Law, Ian Bannen, Irene Papas, Frank Finlay, Anne Heywood, and Valentina Cortese, the film itself is a mixed bag (there were rumors of producer interference - the film is based on director Pier Carpi's own novel).hammock wrote:Sales sheet and other info here!Peacock wrote:I've not been able to find information on Satan's Wife anywhere online.... director, plot, anyone?
