I just saw this similar site and it is pretty creative.

A very old one I did years ago with the ol' school font still on it. How pretentious of me.

Does this one use the swimminghorses filter?

Sadly no, just stretched-out image size. But from here forth it is a tribute to him.

This is my first attempt at a custom "dream" cover...I didn't create the actual artwork, but I did design the "pill" logo. I thought it turned out pretty decent.

Sans swimminghorses filter, although the blacks around the hand are screwed up and I had to cram Laughton's name in:

EDIT: I guess it should say The Charles Laughton film

I think it'd be better with just the fist, but a different picture of the fist.

I think you might put both fists "love" and "hate" side by side at the top. And move the "A film by" credit underneath the title. But I like it.

Thanks for the input, I don't think the fist quite works either, but it was the best I could find. I was going to just do the fist, but it seemed too simple a cover and I felt like a challenge.

Talk about contrast-boost, what's the image behind the "GHT"?

Anyway - and I suppose this incriminates me further - I was unaware of that cover.

The image behind the "GHT" is actually Mitchum's fist, although it's hard to tell.

Oh, and I wasn't trying to incriminate you. After looking at your cover, I did a Google image search for "Night of the Hunter" just to see what might make another interesting cover, and this came up. I just decided to post it here since it's out there and all.

Oh, I'm sorry then. Anyway I like the text on that cover, makes NotH seem like a 50s monster movie.

Concerning Night of the Hunter. A cool cover photo would be the shot of Lilian Gish in her rocking chair with Mitchum visible outside the window. DOn't know if anyone can do it but it would be cool.

Why do people always do Zodiac? Surely The Game needs a good treatment more. Plus then you could make the cover a slide-out puzzle for a limited run.

I'm not liking the green, but the screenshot does make a beautiful cover.

I like the green because it makes the package look like a novel.
