I'd love to see a Criterion Night of the Hunter.

It's about time they got some animation in the collection. I am looking forward to Watership Down on Blu-Ray.

Robert Mitchum's nickname as a child was "Robbie the Rabbit". I thought this was common knowledge?

Aren't there cute little rabbits on the riverbank during the boat down the river scene near the end?

Aside from that, I don't get the rabbit clue either. I don't think they would actually be hinting at an Easter release this soon. But who cares, I'm just glad this is finally coming out!

Also, to anyone who hasn't read it, Simon Callow brisk read from the BFI about The Night of the Hunter is one of the best in the whole BFI Film Classics series.

The Night of the Hunter aside, anyone notice the Johnnie To top 10? I'll make it no secret that he's among my favorite working directors and I hope it's a slight indication of a Criterion release of one of his films! I already seven of his films on Blu-Ray, but I wouldn't mind double dipping if the extras are nice.

I can finally delete that DVR I've been watching for the last five years. (Where's that clapping emoticon?(:

That was my thought too....it would be wonderful to FINALLY get these in all their original OAR glory - and not have them look like you are watching through a dirty clouded window like the old VHS I had.

Those two Troell titles might be the partial fruition (finally) of the mysterious Warner Bros./Criterion deal mentioned almost a year-and-a-half ago.
