A new disc of the Dietrich/Borzage film, Desire, is listing on Amazon.fr as street dating today (4/18/07). It goes for 20 EUROs, but the listing says it won't ship for two or three weeks, Amazon-speak for "we don't have it yet."

I don't remember this being available on disc before, except in that humongous, now moribund, UK collection, or am I wrong?

Anybody know about this?

The Spanish edition has got a fine (fina, no gorda) white line (raya, scratch?) in the middle of the film during most of the film. The image is pretty good, but the "raya" is awfully "incómoda".

The Spanish DVD is licensed by Universal, so, I imagine is the same master that the UK edition. Am I wrong?
