I guess it requires its own thread.
Ball of Fire is being released by MGM/Fox on 5/22. List price is 19.98, so maybe with extras. 2 other Gary Cooper titles released on that day with that price are Casanova Brown and The Wedding Night.

Apropos title to my current excitement!!
Do you think they'd throw in the remake as a special feature?

Fantastic news. I'm running out of films to complain about not being on DVD. I wonder if they'll stick on as a "extra" the inferior musical remake (also directed by Hawks) A Song is Born.

So between this and the Cooper collection thread that also just started - it looks like the Goldwyn properties are starting to escape. Thank God. There's a fistful I wanted, and Ball of Fire is one of them.
That Hamilton Woman would be awfully nice.

Hopefully a re-release of Wuthering Heights is coming too.

Not even a freaking trailer for SRP$ 19.99. Oh well, at least in available again.

just shy of two hours and crammed on a single layer....for that MSRP? If the overall trend in pricing has been favorable the exceptions are all the more glaring.

Great news. Sorry, I didn't notice the back cover.
Does anyone know if THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW and RAISE THE RED LANTERN are subtitled into Spanish too?
Gracias.

MGM and FOX usually subtitles in spanish, so you're in luck.

cierto, but, given that those WB people from R1 don't include Spanish subtitles, I prefer to ask to confirmate the news before importing those dvds to Spain.

Off topic, but it's worth watching Tim Burton's PEE WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE dubbed in French. Best feature for any bare-bones disc... by far.

Great to know you're from Spain. Tengo entendido que existen muchas buenas versiones de clasicos en DVD en tu pais y que tambien existen muchisimas peliculas disponibles que aun no estan en region 1. Es cierto eso?

I own this disc and I believe is not barebones. It has a Burton/Reubens commentary, which is quite good.

www.dvdgo.com.

Beaver. It appears to be the same exact transfer with yellow subtitles from the OOP HBO disc.
