Yeah, looks pretty dire from the trailer but Neeson is an inspired casting choice (and he was perfect as the straight man in McFarlane's western), so perhaps the final product utilizes him better

Had no idea they were remaking this and while I thought the OJ joke corny I did laugh at the Neeson part. The biggest joke of all is realizing The Naked Gun is considered IP.

The Naked Gun is perhaps the best comedy I have seen since Hot Fuzz, less for the emphasis on the genres it lampoons but what it does to comedy itself. It subverts the broader humor of the prior movies and original series into references and turns of phrase, ranging from clever to gross, and adapts the world around it in nearly the same manner as those earlier projects did.
